Message	You might be able to drop it a half inch and gain a quart but that's about it. The real problem they were trying to solve is oil sloshing around under hard cornering and the pump pickup sucking air. With the trap doors and baffles in the Specialty Z pan, the oil is kept in the center of the pan so the pickup never gets uncovered.
